Learning by doing and applying is a hallmark of a Marianapolis education through project-based learning platforms such as the Centers of Excellence, LEAP Week, and Experiential Learning. The Centers of Excellence allow where students to pursue a specialized diploma in a specific academic track that includes an internship, and culminates in a yearlong capstone independent study project. The three Centers are Business & Entrepreneurship, Civic Engagement & Service, and Innovation.
Marianapolis is a 9th grade through postgraduate Catholic Co-ed Independent Day and Boarding School community located in beautiful suburban Thompson, CT. Our school is located within an hour of Boston and Providence and 3 hours from New York City. It has an enrollment of around 350 students and has an average class size of 12 students. Students have the opportunity to take courses from a selection of offerings including 22 AP’s and up to 100 electives. Experiential Learning offers multiple day trips around New England during the school year, primarily on Sundays while the LEAP Week program is a one-week mini-term course requirement in March during which groups of students and faculty explore a specific topic, project, or adventure.
