TU is a research university by Carnegie Classification that offers post-graduate study options, including master’s and doctor’s degrees (research/scholarship) and professional practice. Its academic programs are designed to educate and prepare graduates to be excellent contributors to the business world. Its global perspective allows students to venture into a wide range of future career opportunities.
 
Merit-based financial aid, in the form of research and teaching assistantships, scholarships and fellowships are also administered through the Graduate School. These awards assist students in paying for their graduate education and also offer opportunities to gain valuable skills in their discipline and as a professional. In addition, the Graduate School, in conjunction with the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, offers funding for graduate students to present their research at academic conferences in the U.S and abroad.
 
TU is located in Tulsa, the second-largest city in Oklahoma, which is both cosmopolitan and all-American in its appeal. Tulsa is an important center of commerce and industry with a thriving arts community. The city offers a multitude of entertainment options that include sports, festivals, zoos, water park, hiking trails, museums and theatre that would make student life more meaningful.
