Fyling Hall School is set in the North York Moors National Park with magnificent views over Robin Hood’s Bay. But it is the community of staff and pupils that create the family atmosphere and makes the school what it is. Fyling Hall School welcomes boys and girls, day and boarding pupils of all abilities and offers an excellent standard of teaching and high-quality pastoral care with plenty of opportunities for students to take part in a variety of activities.
Fyling Hall School has comprehensive facilities including an indoor and open-air theatre; a sports hall and climbing wall; an all-weather pitch; a cricket and athletics ground as well as their very own ponies and stables. We are also very active in drama and music and produce regular concerts throughout the year.
Fyling Hall is a school with a uniquely vibrant personality.
Our founder chose the school’s motto from a John Masefield poem:  ‘The days that make us happy make us wise’ and we believe in this as much today as yesterday.
This springs, in no small measure, from the ideals and remarkable character of our founder, Mab Bradley. Even as we stride confidently into the 21st century with sophisticated facilities and technologies undreamed of in her day, there remains much about the school she would recognize.
